Terms of sale

The terms that apply when you buy books or other goods from us as a customer. Bookshops buying on a trade account are covered by our trade terms instead.

Version 1.0 · last updated 23 October 2026

1. Who we are

Fable & Frontier Publishing is a trading name of T101 Group Ltd.

You can contact us at hello@fnfbooks.co.uk or through our contact page.

2. Your order

When you place an order we send an email acknowledging it. That acknowledgement is not acceptance. Our contract with you starts when we confirm your order has been dispatched, or when we take payment, whichever comes first.

We may decline an order, for example if an item is unavailable or a price was shown in error. If we do, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid.

3. Prices and payment

  • Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Printed books are zero-rated for VAT in the UK.
  • Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay.
  • Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. We may reserve the amount when you order and take it when your order is prepared.

4. Printed-to-order books

Many of our books are printed when you order them. They are standard editions printed to the same specification for every customer, not made to your personal requirements, so your normal right to cancel (section 6) still applies.

5. Delivery

We currently deliver to UK addresses only. Delivery times and charges are on our delivery page. Estimated times are not guaranteed, but if we have not delivered within 30 days of your order you may cancel it and receive a full refund. Ownership and risk in the goods pass to you on delivery.

6. Changing your mind

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you may cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving it. Tell us within that time, then send the goods back within a further 14 days. We will refund the price and our standard delivery charge within 14 days of getting the goods back (or proof you have sent them). You pay the cost of returning them unless they are faulty or we sent the wrong item.

We may reduce a refund if the goods have been handled more than needed to inspect them, for example a book that has been written in or damaged. Full details are on our returns page.

7. Faulty or damaged goods

Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by these terms. If a book arrives faulty, misprinted or damaged, contact us: within 30 days of delivery you are entitled to a full refund, and after that to a repair, replacement or refund as the law provides.

8. Special editions and Warehouse copies

  • Special editions are produced in limited numbers. Once a run has sold out we may not be able to replace a copy.
  • Books in our Warehouse section are returned or slightly imperfect copies sold at a reduced price. Any marks or wear are described or reflected in the price; you cannot reject a copy for a defect we told you about.

9. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

10. Your information

We use your details to process your order and as set out in our privacy policy.

11. Disputes and law

If you are unhappy, please contact us first and we will try to put things right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to it.

Standard UK delivery is currently £3.95.
